some speculations i have been holding back:
filipinos are great contortionists.
don't you find it quite amusing? how people could fit themselves in a jeep when there seem to be no more space. cool right? maybe it has something to do with the driver insisting that there is still space to spare.. great convincing powers!
'o sa kaliwa pa, sampu-an yan.. sampu-an.'
filipinos are great space thrifters
if people could easily fit themeselves in a crammed jeep, then they could easily fit their houses in a crammed street (or railroad, or lakeside, or any available piece of land). and i've heard that some of these space thrifters even have airconditioners inside their minute homes. luxurious squatters.
filipinos are great listeners
and within minutes, the two could've talked about the life story of narding, how their mareng isha who works for the mayor seems to have an extremely large amount of money, back to narding, how kris aquino bagged that yummy basketball player, more narding, and what they think of the prices of the goods today..
'dati 4 centavos lang makakarating ka na ng UST eh, ngayon..".
we filipinos have a knack for listening. if there's anything that's interesting you will say, everybody would leave whatever they're doing and form a small circle around you.. and soon enough, there will be 'ooohhs' and 'aahhhs' you could hear here and there. there's nothing wrong with being good listeners.. it's just that filipinos are also good fiction writers.
and lastly, filipinos are great risk takers
pusoy dos. karera. pompyang. ending. lotto. weteng. majong. DOTA. sugal.
people could make sugal out of everthing.
'pare, pustahan tayo mapapasagot ko yang si deneece within 2 weeks. 500.'
'sige pare call ako dyan.'
it's not that i don't do these things (well, i know how to play DOTA.) but some people just couldn't get enough of the same sinking feeling whenever they see that their coins don't match, or their horse is losing, or their bad cards, OR their hero eing pumelled by the opposing team. sigh, tao nga naman oh.
well, that' about it for today. i still need to play dota.
